Piercing needles are specially designed, hollow, surgical-grade needles used to create clean and precise holes in the skin for body piercings. They are very sharp and come in different sizes (gauges) depending on the type of piercing and jewelry being used.

How they are used:

1. Sterilization: The area of the body to be pierced is cleaned and marked. The needle is sterile and used only once to prevent infection.
2. Piercing Process: The needle is gently pushed through the skin in a smooth motion. Because it is hollow, it removes a small core of skin, creating a precise hole.
3. Jewelry Insertion: After the needle goes through, jewelry is usually inserted immediately, often using a tool called a taper or by pushing the jewelry through behind the needle.

Why they’re preferred: Piercing needles are safer and more accurate than piercing guns. They cause less trauma to the skin, reduce the risk of complications, and are used by professional piercers for all types of body piercings.
